The Inaugural PCA Worldwide Caddie Hall of Fame (1999)

The results are in and history was made at the Francis Ouimet Statue on March 24, 1999 and earlier at the PGA TOUR STOP inside the WORLD GOLF VILLAGE during THE PLAYERS Championship week. The first Worldwide Caddie Hall of Fame (it's mobile!) was also unveiled.

On Wednesday night, March 24, 1999, at the PGA TOUR STOP World Golf Village, the following caddies were inducted into the PCA Worldwide Caddie Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony was held at the PGA TOUR STOP with the World Golf Hall of Fame as the backdrop. The Inductees then walked down to the Francis Ouimet Statue to have their picture taken with the statue of Francis and Eddie Lowery, which is being underwritten by the PCA Worldwide.com. The statue is located in the new Pioneer section of the World Golf Village.

Francis Ouimet: The Caddie who won the US Open in 1913 and brought golf back to the United States. Started t he Francis Ouimet Society to award scholorships for juniors through golf and cadding in the north east
Charles "Chick" Evans, Jr.: Founder of the Chick Evans Scholarship fund Western Golf Association. One of the three largest Scholarship Funds in the United States for Junior Golfers and caddie scholorships.
Eddie Lowery: The 10 year old Caddie who caddied for Francis Ouimet when he won the US Open in 1913. Went on to sponsor caddies and golfers on Tour. Also built the francis Ouimet library in Massachussetts.
Jeff "Squeeky" Medlen: Worked for Nick Price before he passed away from Leukemia. Please send us a picture

Herman Mitchell: Lee Trevino after a short absence and loss of 60 + pounds. Herman is back on the senior tour his famous voice and smile can be seen at selective senior events.

Peter Coleman: Bernhard Langer, Seve Ballesteros, Nancy Lopez. He is a true gentelman and professional always supportive of his friends and dedicated to his player.

Donnie "Wad" Wanstall: Mark O'Meara, Curtis Strange, 14 wins; a man with true spirit. Was diagnosed with MS during the 1994 players championship. Carl Jackson: Ben Crenshaw, 1984 and 1995 Masters and the Colonial, 1990. Caddied 35 years. Laura Drumm, President of PCA presents award into Hall of Fame to Carl Jackson, a great Augusta and TOUR Caddie. Caddied for Ben Crenshaw for his two Masters wins.
Ralph Coffey: Deane Beman, 1968-74, George Burns. 12 wins, one major, and 22 seconds.
